Over the past ten years I've worked on a lot of different projects and have worn many hats. Currently I work as a freelance front-end and interface designer and coder, with most of my projects coming from small studios and agencies around the country.
I use CSS, XHTML, PHP, mySQL, Javascript, Ajax and Flash to create expressive, useable designs built on clean, extensible, search-engine-friendly code. For larger, more involved and/or more technical projects I work within a group called TR1 Design.

These days everyone communicates via IM, email or phone - even when they're in the same building. I work the same way and it seems to be quite seamless for my clients. Generally, all communication is done online and projects are managed via an amazing online application called Basecamp. No files are lost, no communication slips through the cracks, no detail is missed. After discussing the initial goal, a to-do list and milestones are created and checked off as they are completed until the site is launched.
Print-focused agencies don't always have enough interactive work coming in to justify bringing on a full-time developer. Instead of turning away their clients' business, I serve as their interactive department.
For interactive agencies, I am called in as a reserve to help complete large projects or take over small projects that just don't fit into the work schedule.
Standards are changing. Styles are changing. Content management is key these days. If your company's site features content that hasn't been updated in the last month (or year), you probably need my help.
I can design and build your company a site with a custom Content Management System that will allow you to edit and update your site as frequently as you are inspired.
Add my RSS feed to your reader. When I add some work or have any important news, you'll be in the loop.
This is not my project but I think it is something worth mentioning - Check out Fifty Thousand Shirts, a campaign of hope for China.
